Startup Jewelry Business (part 2 of 2)

http://www.bromotravelindo.com

Specialty for your jewelry business can be achieved in various ways. You could, for instance, make a name for yourself by creating a unique line of jewelries made of a combination of alexandrite and onyx. Its pink and black color tandem is startling and offers lots of creative potential.

Accepting custom orders can be considered a specialty in itself. Your jewelry business could be famous with its engraved lockets, name bracelets, and personalized necklaces.

Prioritize customer service.
As mentioned earlier on, customers of jewelry businesses tend to be more demanding and meticulous than usual. Consequently, they place greater value on customer service, maybe even more than affordability and product variety.

If you want to start up your jewelry business right then you need to focus on customer service. Firstly, give your customers the assurance of secure and convenient transactions; give them all the payment options you need and make sure you employ every possible precaution to prevent them from becoming a victim of ID theft while they’re shopping in your virtual store.

Offer round-the-clock customer support. They must have an email address and hotline to contact for any inquiries they may have. Show your appreciation for their continued patronage by regularly offering special promos and discounts for loyal customers. If you treat your customers well then they’re sure to hold your jewelry business in high regard!

Startup Jewelry Business (part 1 of 2)

Starting your own jewelry business may seem an intimidating prospect but with a bit of online marketing know-how, hard work, and lots of creativity, your fledgling business can easily turn into a highly profitable venture.

Choose the right business image.
Jewels are essentially beautiful regardless of what they’re made of, what their size is, or how they’re styled. Jewelries are usually expensive and considered works of art. As such, customers tend to have higher expectations than usual from those selling them.

For the right business image, you’ll need to come up with a distinctive but stylish name, logo, and website for your jewelry business. It may be elegant, funky, or cute. Stylishness, after all, is entirely subjective. But above all things, it must be attractive to your target market.

Choose a niche.
Speaking of your target market, it’s important to choose a niche for your jewelry business. Niche marketing will require you to cater to a smaller market with specific needs. Doing so will make it unnecessary for you to go head to head against bigger jewelry businesses. You will also have an easier time making your business’s name grow.

There are many ways to determine the ideal niche for your market. You may start, for instance, with the types of jewelries you’re selling. Are they suitable for career-oriented women or do they look better on teenagers? Or perhaps they’re more suited for women in high society?

Think variety and specialty.
They can come hand in hand. Variety for your jewelry business means offering them all kinds of jewelry your target might need: earrings, necklaces, bracelets, maybe even dress watches, rings, and anklets. You can even expand to the lesser-known varieties like nose rings and stomach rings if it’s applicable.

Variety ensures that your target market won’t have to look to other shops for any jewelry preferences they may have. Specialty, on the other hand, is purely on the account of taste and style: it’s what makes you different from your competitors.

An Acting Career Should Have a Resume and a Headshot (part 2 of 2)

http://www.bromotravelindo.com

You should bring at least 5 copies of your resume and head shots every time you go to the audition because you may never know who else will want one.

Now it is time for the things you must never do.

The most important is never lie about your experience. Just like applying for a job, the casting directors will get someone to do a background check about your credentials so it is only a matter of time before they find out the truth.

The same goes for special skills which you claim that you have but actually don’t. People won’t be able to do a background check here but they will find out when you are told to do something and suck at it.

When you submit a resume, make sure that this is printed on a sheet of paper that measures more than 8 ½ x 11.  Again, this is because of the size of the head shot. If you insist doing that, chances are your resume will be thrown away.

Since you are not the only actor applying for a part, don’t waste the time of the casting director by giving them a resume that is more than one page. If you have a lot to say, put the most relevant using a 10 point font. If they want more information and this won’t fit in your resume, mention it later on during the interview.

A resume is a piece of paper with a list of your accomplishments. You must never staple reviews or clipping from newspapers.

An acting career should always have a resume and a headshot. Write a few drafts and take some photos then just use the best.

An Acting Career Should Have a Resume and a Headshot (part 1 of 2)

Preparing for an audition also includes having a resume and a few headshot pictures. This is because aside from performing your monologue or reading from a script, cast directors want to know how you look on camera or on stage as well as your previous work experiences. To help you, here a few do’s and don’ts in doing both.

When you submit a resume, make sure that this is stapled to the back of your headshot. If the resume is much larger than the picture, trim it a bit so they appear to be the same size.

For those who don’t know what a head shot is, it is picture of your entire face. It must be very artistic and is intended to put you in the best possible light. This is usually printed on an 8 by 10 inch format. Your name should be placed on the print or just below it.

As for your resume, just tell the truth of your previous accomplishments. Make sure that your contact details are up to date so it will be easy for the casting director or a representative to easily get in touch with you for a call back.

Creating a resume is easy. If you are going to an audition, make sure that it will focus on the part you are trying to get. For instance, if you want a part in a Broadway event, make sure you list down your previous experiences in the theater. If this is for a movie, tell them what you did even if you played a supporting role or as an extra. Should this be for a commercial, mention what your roles was as well.

Types of Birth Control Pills (part 2 of 2)

http://www.bromotravelindo.com

You also have multiphasic pills that were introduced 10 years after progestin was made available to the public. Just like the others, the person has to take them at a specific time. Some say this is an improvement than those which came out in the past because of reduced number of incidents of side effects associated with birth control pills such as amenorrhea, breakthrough bleeding and spotting.

Biphasic pills can change the level of hormones once during the menstrual cycle. Some examples of these include Jenest, Mircette, Necon 10/11, Nelova 10/11 and  Ortho-Novum 10/11.

The third type is called triphasic since it contains three different doses of hormones. Taking them will gradually increase the dose of estrogen and progesterone into your body. Examples of these includes Cyclessa, Ortho-Novum 7/7/7, Ortho Tri-Cyclen, Triphasil, Tri-Levlen, Trivora, and Tri-Norinyl.

There are emergency contraceptive pills or ECP but these are not supposed to be used as a contraceptive. It is designed to protect the woman after unprotected sex and so far, only one pill has been approved by the FDA and this is called plan B that contains the progestin called levonorgestrel. The difference between the other birth controls pills to this is one is that you can purchase this over the counter.

What type of birth control pill should you use will depend on what your doctor will recommend after you have undergone your medical evaluation. One thing that you may have to deal with regardless of what you take is the side effects. Until such time that doctors have developed a better pill, this is something you will have to deal with to prevent getting pregnant.

Types of Birth Control Pills (part 1 of 2)

http://www.bromotravelindo.com

Birth controls pills have been in use since 1960 when the US Food and Drug Administration approved it. Today, there are more than 40 different types to choose from which you can get from your local health rep.

Another name for the pill is called oral contraception. There are two types namely combination and progestin pills. Both are made of hormones and before you can buy it, you need to get prescription from your doctor.

Progestin pills were first introduced in the 1970’s. This pill does not contain estrogen so it does not always prevent ovulation. For this to work, the female must take this at a certain time during the day and this must be taken regularly because one missed pill could greatly reduce its effectiveness.

There are advantages using progestin pills. Since it does not contain estrogen, it can be used by nursing mothers as well as those who are suffering from certain health conditions such as migraine headaches, cardiovascular disease or thromboembolism.

The combination pill contains estrogen and progestin and there three types available.

The first is called Monophasic pills and this contains the same amount of estrogen and progestin because the hormone levels are the same. So, users are less likely to experience mood changes that are a direct result from fluctuating hormone levels in the body.

Some examples of these are Alesse, Brevicon, Desogen, Levlite, Loestrin, Modicon, Nelova and Yasmin. The newest among them is Seasonale that was introduced into the market in 2003. Each pack contains 91 tablets and is designed to prevent menstruation for the entire time period. Tests have shown those who take it will experience only 4 periods in one year.

3 Golf Swing Drills to Improve Your Putting (part 2 of 2)

http://www.bromotravelindo.com

To do this, you have to practice first putting first with your eyes open at a range of 10 to 50 feet from the hole. After putting these balls with your eyes open, do the same thing this time with your eyes closed. If the ball goes in the hole, you know that sink the ball with your eyes closed.

Another eyes closed technique involves dropping some balls to the ground and just putting them. The objective here is simply to let you feel how the stroke flows back and forth. Do the same thing also with your eyes open. Now that you know the difference, try to incorporate that when you are putting the balls into the hole.

The last golf swing drill is called the alignment drill. To do this, you lay two clubs on the green about six inches apart and make sure that they are parallel to each other. Now putt the ball to see if your stroke is aligned at impact and steady on the back and forward stroke. Do this several times and if you get tired, take a break and rest for a while before resuming the drill.

Practicing some golf swing putting drills like those mentioned will surely help you improve on your game. Who knows? You might even win when you are playing 18 holes with friends. If you can do that at short distances, the only thing to practice on now is your long game because this is just as important as the short game.

3 Golf Swing Drills to Improve Your Putting (part 1 of 2)

http://www.bromotravelindo.com

After hitting the ball as close to the hole as possible, it is just a matter of putting so you can move on to the next one. While this may sound easy given the short distance, there are still some who have a hard time. To help you out, here are 4 golf swing drills you can try.

The first is the one handed drill. You do this by practice putting ten balls using only your training hand. This drill lets you focus on the palm of your hand as it moves towards the cup.

Next, practice putting using your target hand. The emphasis here is for you to concentrate on your back hand moving towards the cup.

When you do this drill using either hand, be conscious of the toe of your putter in the follow through. Should this turn away from the cup or point toward it, this means you are turning your hand. So you know you are doing it right, the face of the putter should be square to the cup.

Another drill is to practice putting with one eye. Some golfers do this because it stops them from lifting their head prematurely. If you have played this game often, you can even try putting with your eyes closed.

But won’t closing your eyes make it harder for you to see where the ball is going? Yes but research has shown that when you try to putt with your eyes open, there is interference with the brain/muscle control system. By closing your eyes, you are relying more on your hands to guide the ball into the hole. And how will you know if the ball goes in? By simply using your sense of hearing.

Celebrating Halloween without Trick or Treating (part 2 of 2)

http://www.bromotravelindo.com

You and yours kids can then spend quality time together by putting the décor up like hang fake spider webs through the entry way after cutting them out using black construction paper, put out tombstones made from Styrofoam that can be made or purchased from craft stores and of course pumpkins which you can carve out yourself.

As for sounds, you can download a few songs as we all sound effects into you MP3 player then just put speakers around the house. To create a foggy atmosphere when people approach your home, buy some dry ice.

The only way your guests will have a good time is to make sure there is a lot of food and drinks to go around. So they don’t bored, plan a few games and activities that everyone can participate in. One game you would love is apple bobbing where you put a bunch of apples in the bathtub or basin and then let the participants pick it up using their teeth.

As for dinner, serve spaghetti that look like eyeballs, tomato soup and a few other dishes that are ideal for the occasion.

Since there will be kids attending the party, make sure there are games for them as well. One game could be pin the skeleton which is very similar to pin the donkey. You can also bake caramel apples so the kids can just grab them when they want another one.

Because kids love candy, be sure that there are plenty of them around. Don’t forget to thank everyone for coming by preparing loot bags that they can bring home.

Planning and hosting a Halloween party takes a lot of work but its all worth it if everyone was able to have a good time. The only thing to do now when the party is over is clean up and return things to the way they were.

Celebrating Halloween without Trick or Treating (part 1 of 2)

http://www.bromotravelindo.com

Some parents are overly protective and they don’t want to let their kids go trick or treating. If you are one of those parents, you have to find some other ways to make them have fun and here are a few options.

The first is get in touch with your local community or recreation center to find out if they have any planned activities for Halloween. They may have a costume party or a night filled with games for everyone to enjoy.

For those who don’t want their kids to go trick or treating in the streets, their kids can still do this by going to the mall. This is because some shopping malls encourage their tenants to provide candies and other goodies for shoppers. There are also costume parades and contests which the kids will love to watch and maybe win a few prizes.

If you live in a small town, chances are there is an activity for the evening like perhaps a dance or a concert.

You can also go with your kids and visit a haunted house. This event is usually sponsored by the local community to raise funds and what they do is rent a house for the evening, decorate the place and scare people all in the spirit of fun.

For people who don’t want to go out and just stay at home, let the people come instead by hosting a Halloween party. You can plan it weeks in advance so you have time to buy the decorations, stock up on food and send out the invitations.
